film review

In the weekend, I saw a movie very old, it was named Candilejas, were filmed in 1952, in black and white; with the comedy actor Charles Chaplin, but it was a drama film.
At the beginning, the movie went so slow, its about an old man, that was an unemployed comedian, and his better years passed; by chance he saved the life of a young girl, he courage her to be alive, and to fight together to get by.
The next part of the film turns better.
She manage to do a great balet dancer and becomes very famous. She falls in love with the comedian but he considered that himself is too old for her, so he move away.
Months pass, and a great producer find the comedian, and propose him to do a special show in theatre for him, for the good times, and he accepted.
During his participation, the audience really laugh at him, but part of his show is about fall from the stage, and he results hurt. A heart attack began to him, and almost he didn´t say goodbye to the audience, but he did.
The show ended with the balet dancer dancing, and he hoping to see her, but he didn´t reach her.
I think it´s a great movie, because the second part is full of things that you don´t expected, and the end is better for the same reason.
